A man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident late Saturday afternoon.
It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on 63rd Street South, near Meridian, northwest of Haysville. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says the man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on 63rd when he suddenly left the road.
The bike struck a driveway marker, and entered the ditch, where it struck a culvert. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle.
EMS took the man to St. Francis for treatment. It’s not known yet why he left the road, but conditions were wet and extremely windy at the time of the accident.
