McConnell Air Force Base is evacuating 13 aircraft from the base due to the severe weather threat.
The aircraft and crews will travel to Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Washington until the severe weather threat passes. Fairchild is a “safe haven” base that has the space to house the aircraft and its personnel and has the crews to maintain the aircraft.
McConnell itself is not being evacuated and other base operations will continue as normal.
