Former Congressional Candidate James Thompson says he has cancer. He made the announcement on Facebook Sunday afternoon saying he will be unlikely to run for office again. Thompson says he has a rare form of liver cancer and is in the latter stages of it. He says he’s likely had this for years and will most likely have it for a few more.
“I fought for my country, I fought for you, and you can sure as hell bet I will fight to live.”
The former candidate, who ran for 4th congressional district representative last year, says he is determined to see his 14-year-old daughter graduate high school.
