Good description leads police to man who robbed pizza delivery driver

A good description from a witness led Wichita Police to a 20-year-old man who robbed a pizza delivery driver.

It happened around 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Anita.  A pizza delivery driver told police he was sent to an address that didn’t exist in the 2000 block of West Anita.

The driver says he called to customer, who directed him to in the 1900 block of West Anita.  When he arrived, the suspect walked up to him, pointed a gun, and took cash and pizza from the driver.

He then him to leave the area.  The driver went back to the store and called 911.

A witness then called 911 to report that they had just spoken to a man who admitted to robbing a pizza delivery driver.  Police say the witness gave a detailed description of the suspect, and a short time later, police took the man into custody in the 1500 block of West Pawnee.

The gun turned out to be a BB gun.  No one was hurt.
