A 7-year-old boy has died in a horse riding accident in Cowley County.
Countryview Elementary, east of Winfield posted on Facebook, informing families that student Max Henderson died Sunday at a Wichita hospital. Henderson was reportedly riding a pony at his family’s home that flipped over on him causing critical injuries.
The school has grief counselors on hand this week for students, faculty, staff and parents.
