The Wichita Police Department was able to find a van that was tied to a few reports of suspicious activity.
Several people called 911 to report a man and woman approaching them and asking for help with their kids. No kids were seen in the couple’s van, which led people to suspect something was up.
Officers spotted the van at a hotel near Kellogg and Rock, and were able to talk with the owners Thursday evening. It turns out the man and woman in the van do have two kids, and both are reported to be in good health. Police are working to get the couple some help.
Investigators are still looking into earlier reports, but it does not appear that any laws were broken.
