The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show there are now 1,376 cases of Covid-19 in the state.

62 deaths have been reported which is an increase of 6 since Sunday afternoon.  Sedgwick County now has 200 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Johnson County has now reached 309 cases, while Wyandotte County now has 337.  They are the hardest hit counties in the state overall.

More testing is being conducted statewide, so the number of cases are expected to increase due in part to that.  309 people have been hospitalized, but the vast majority of cases did not require a hospital stay as symptoms were moderate, to mild and in some cases never appeared.

Over 12,000 Kansas residents have tested negative for the virus.  Nationwide nearly 559,000 people have contracted Covid-19.

22,154 people in the U.S. have died from the virus.  The majority of those deaths in New York State.
