Wichita Police have identified the woman who died following a shooting west Wichita as 18-year-old Aubrey Resendez.
Officers were called to the Kwik Shop near Kellogg and West Street shortly after 12:30 this morning. When they arrived they spotted a 2014 white Dodge Avenger with the rear window shot out. Inside was an 18-year-old male driver, a 27-year-old man, and Resendez, who had been shot.
She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries. The other two men were not hurt.
Police say the group in the Dodge Avenger got into an argument with people inside of a silver pickup truck and someone in the truck opened fire. Police say they are still investigating but this was not a random incident.
