Wichita Police say a man used pepper spray to rob the Check N’ Go near 31st Street South and Seneca Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man entered the store shortly after 3 p.m. and sprayed a 49-year-old employee before demanding money from the cash drawer. He took the cash before leaving the store and getting into the passenger side of a gray four-door sedan, which was last seen heading north on Seneca.
The suspect was described as a white male in his twenties or thirties, around 6 feet tall and weighing 190 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans with a hole in the knee, a red-white-blue baseball hat with a “W” on it, and had a white scarf covering his face.
The employee was not seriously hurt. Anyone who may have information about the robbery is asked to contact Wichita Police Robbery Section at (316) 268-4407.
