Dispatchers for Sedgwick County reported the discovery of a body close to the railroad tracks between 79th and 87th east of Meridian near Haysville.
A search party was organized Saturday morning in an attempt to locate a missing Wichita woman, 23 year old Savannah Schneider, who was last seen at her home on May 31st. Schneider’s cell phone was last pinged south of Haysville.
Neither the gender nor identity of the body has been disclosed. Members of the search party looking for Schneider were the individuals who notified police.
