Police have been investigating after a traffic accident in northeast Wichita turned out to be a shooting incident with two victims.
A crash was reported around 3:30 Saturday morning near 21st and Homestead, a few blocks west of Woodlawn. No one was found at the scene but two shooting victims later turned up at a hospital. An 18-year-old man was treated for a minor gunshot wound and released, and a 26-year-old victim was treated and released for injuries related to the crash.
Police were looking for shell casings into the early morning hours from Homestead to Woodlawn. No other details have been released.
