Wichita police say 17-year-old Michael Beasley, of Wichita, was the person found dead outside an abandoned church Monday morning.
Officers were called to 9th and Ash around 9:30 a.m., after someone reported a shooting and seeing Beasley lying in the grass. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are asking for any information that can help them find Beasley’s girlfriend, 18-year-old Kaylah Blackmon. Police believe she may be in danger. Her car is a grey, 2005, Ford Escape. It has a tag of 566-NPK. Anyone who spots this car or Blackmon is asked to call 911.
