Police are investigating a fatal car-pedestrian accident that happened in south Wichita late Tuesday night.
Officers said 54-year-old Michelle Truong had been involved in a minor accident at Pawnee and Hillside around 9 p.m. Tuesday. She got out of her car to talk to another driver and exchange information, but she was hit by another car as she was crossing the street. Truong was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver who struck Truong has been cooperating with the investigation.
This is the sixth traffic death involving a pedestrian in Wichita this year, and it’s the 11th overall fatal accident.
