Retired KWCH anchor Roger Cornish dies at 66

Retired KWCH anchor Roger Cornish dies at 66

Longtime KWCH anchor Roger Cornish died Wednesday after a battle with liver disease, he was 66.

Cornish started his TV career as a camera operator for KTVH in Hutchinson in 1972, and he moved into producing and reporting.   He anchored evening newscasts from the late 1970s until his retirement in 2018.    He also did occasional radio news reports for KFDI in a news partnership with KWCH.   He won numerous awards for his television reporting during his career.

Funeral services are pending.
