Masks Encouraged, But Not Required After Winfield School Board Vote

The Winfield School Board voted 4-2 on Tuesday not to require mask-wearing among staff and students. They will, however will be highly encouraged.

Masks will be required while in high-density/high-traffic areas and circumstances, such as commons areas, large group gatherings, indoor assemblies and concerts.

Superintendent Dr. Nathan Reed said that masks will continue to be a requirement for those who ride or drive school buses and other public transportation that is provided by the district, as per federal mandate.
