A Sedgwick County Detention Deputy was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence battery over the weekend.
The Sheriff’s Office reports the deputy was arrested Sunday, and was then released on bond. The deputy was arrested again for violation of a protection from abuse order. As of Monday morning, jail records show the deputy is not in custody.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, this deputy has employed with them for six months, and this case involved the deputy’s domestic partner.
In addition to a criminal investigation, the Sheriff’s Office is conducting an internal professional standards investigation.
