Wichita Public Schools will be closed again Thursday because of winter weather conditions that brought six inches of snow to the area, with another inch possible.
All schools and non-attendance centers in Wichita will be closed Thursday.
The only employees expected to report to work are:
- Select employees as designated by the superintendent. Those employees will be contacted directly.
- Snow removal crews, who will be contacted today to confirm their assignments.
- Building custodians.
- Select School Service Center dispatch and road security.
School officials in Wichita expect to return to a normal schedule on Friday.

WSU Tech Campus will be CLOSED though virtual classes will be held.

Newman University Wichita – Closed until 5:00 p.m. Evening classes will still be held, though that is subject to change.
