Wichita Police arrested two men on charges of criminal damage to property in connection with catalytic converter thefts.
Officers responded to an auto dealership in the 3900 block of South Broadway around 4 a.m. Wednesday after the owner reported seeing two men in the back of the dealership cutting catalytic converters of several vehicles.
Police arrested a 45-year-old Wichita man and 44-year-old man from Pratt, whom officers said were in the process of cutting catalytic converters when they arrived. The men were also reportedly using stolen tools to remove the parts.
The men were booked into Sedgwick County Jail on charges felony criminal damage to property. The 44 year old man was also booked on a state parole violation charge.
