Evergy crews were working to restore electricity after a large outage was reported in north Wichita.

Over 3,500 customers were affected by the outage at mid-afternoon Monday.   There were several outage areas between Amidon and I-135, from 13th to 25th Streets North.  The power was restored around 5:15 p.m.

Another outage was reported near Lincoln and I-135, affecting around 350 customers.

Evergy said there was a problem at a substation, and power was routed to other sites to restore power.
