A severe thunderstorm caused damage to trees and homes in Greenwood County late Wednesday night.
Officials in Madison reported tree limbs down and roofs damaged as the storm moved through the area around 9 p.m. A tornado warning was issued for Greenwood County when radar incidated rotation in the storm, but there were no confirmed reports of a tornado. Madison officials were planning to meet with Greenwood County Emergency Management to evaluate the damage.
A flash flood warning was also issued for Greenwood County as heavy rains caused flooding of rural roads in the northern part of the county.
A tornado warning was also issued for Lyon County late Wednesday night, but there were no confirmed reports of a tornado.
