Three firefighters were treated and later released from a hospital after a house fire Saturday in east Wichita.
Units were sent to a home in the 500 block of South Bleckley, near Kellogg and Oliver, around 5 p.m. Flames were coming from the home when crews arrived and they went into a defensive posture, fighting the fire from outside the home.
Three firefighters had burn injuries and were taken to a hospital. The home was vacant and there were no other injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
