The Keystone Pipeline is transporting oil again after it was shut down due to a leak near the Nebraska-Kansas border.

A section of the pipeline remains closed in Washington County, Kansas. The operator of the pipeline, Canada-based TC Energy, said the affected segment remains safely isolated and repairs are continuing. The incident caused 600-thousand gallons to be spilled, the biggest oil leak in the U.S. in over a decade.

Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, who chairs a subcommittee on public works and the environment, wrote a letter to TC Energy criticizing them for causing frequent spills which have led to environmental devastation.

Officials have yet to determine what caused the lead in Kansas.
