A college football player from Kansas was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting outside a bar in Oklahoma City.
Police said 22-year-old Daniel Howard, a football player at Fort Hays State University, was killed in a shooting early on New Year’s Day outside the Sunset Patio Lounge. Four other people were injured, including some bystanders. Their conditions were not known.
Police said several people had been ordered to leave the bar after a fight broke out. The shooting took place when the fight continued in a nearby parking lot.
