Police said a 44-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run incident in south Wichita Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to the 800 block of South Oliver around 8:30 p.m. and they found the man at the scene. He said he was crossing Oliver when he was hit by a southbound pickup. Witnesses described a red Ford F-150 that left the scene. The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police later tracked down the pickup and talked with the driver. The investigation is continuing.
