A boil water advisory is in place for part of Butler County Rural Water District 6 in Montgomery County. The impacted area runs from SE 140th and Flint Hills Road northeast to and including the town of Beaumont, then south to and including Latham and southwest to 200th and Ellis Rd.
Although Latham is included, a separate advisory was issued for the city itself.
The advisory was issued April 11 after a drop in the water system’s pressure led to the possibility of contamination. Until the advisory is lifted, residents are urged to take the following precautions.
