Two men were taken to hospitals after shooting incidents Tuesday afternoon in Wichita.
Officers were called to the area of 18th and Chautauqua around 2:45 p.m. That’s a neighborhood near 21st and Hillside. A 28-year-old man was found in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his upper left leg. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police are still investigating.
Officers were called to another shooting incident around 3:30 p.m. near 18th and Jackson. That’s a neighborhood near 17th Street North and Waco. A 21-year-old man was taken to a hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. There was no word on suspects or the circumstances of the shooting.
