The Wichita Police Department is investigating a traffic collision that fatally injured 68-year-old Michael Llamas of Wichita.
The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. Thursday. WPD officers responded to a call of a pedestrian getting hit by a vehicle at West St. and Murdock. Llamas was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Officials said that Llamas was crossing from West St. slightly south of Murdock when he was struck by a truck heading north on West that was driven by a 24-year-old woman.
Authorities said they do not believe speed nor impairment were contributing factors to the accident.

This is the 12th fatality collision for the year and the 12th fatality.
