Wichita Police arrested a 22-year-old Wichita man in connection to a shooting Wednesday that seriously injured a 28-year-old man.
Officers responded to a shooting call in the 4400 block of S. Broadway around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Before they arrived, they learned that the 28-year-old victim had driven himself to the 4900 block of S. Broadway after the incident.
Police located the victim in a nearby business with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators learned that the victim was driving south on Broadway on his moped when he became involved in a road rage incident with with the suspect while who was in his pickup truck. The suspect then pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the victim, striking him in the right leg.
Officers used Flock and developed a suspect vehicle and a tag later made the arrest Murphy.
