Veterans Awareness Expo to be held in Wichita

A special event will be held in Wichita on Saturday, August 5th to help connect veterans with services and programs.

The seventh annual Veteran’s Awareness Expo will feature a number of agencies, food trucks, music and demonstrations.    Patty Gnefkow, president and CEO of Vet-to-Vet Support Command, Inc. said there will be mobile trucks, claims benefit services, and various agencies to provide help to veterans and their families.  She said the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Kansas Honor Flight and Women Veterans of Kansas will be represented at the event.   There will also be military vehicles on display and a service dog demonstration will be conducted by Midwest Battle Buddies.

The Expo is free and it will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mid-America All-Indian Museum.
