Wichita man convicted in fatal 2019 shooting

A Wichita man has been convicted in a fatal shooting that happened four years ago.

34-year-old Efrain Arroyo was found guilty of first degree murder in the November 27th, 2019 shooting death of 30-year-old Christian Hernandez.   Police found Hernandez with several gunshot wounds in a ditch in the 12,000 block of East 45th Street North, near Bel Aire.   His hands had been tied behind his back.

Two other men, 37-year-old Thomas Armstrong and 44-year-old Dustyn Brown were also charged in the case, and they are awaiting sentencing on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Arroyo is scheduled for sentencing on January 12th.
