An extra security feature has been added to the public restrooms at the Advanced Learning Library in downtown Wichita.
Token machines were installed on two of the family restrooms in the building. Library officials said tokens to get into the restrooms can be picked up free at the front desk, and the library will collect the tokens from the machines when more are needed to hand out.
The measure was added because of recent incidents of drug use and vandalism, so the feature was added for safety and security. The machines are temporary but they have already cut down on the number of incidents with the restrooms.
