The Wichita Police and Fire Foundation and the Wichita Police Department will be holding their third annual Shop With a Cop event to provide holiday gifts for children in need.
Children will take part in the event Monday and Tuesday evening, December 11th and 12th at Walmart stores, to select appropriate gifts for themselves or a family member. The children were identified through the WPD Random Acts of Kindness program, the Juvenile Intervention Unit and Community Policing units. Each youngster will be paired with an officer for the shopping event.
There will also be gifts for the children from Quik Trip, Let’s Go Build, The Arcade, Just a Sip, Papa’s General Store, Sweet N Saucy Candy and Soda Shoppe, Scheels’s Wichita and the Police and Fire Foundation.
