UPDATE: The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has lifted the boil water advisory for the city of Belle Plaine. Testing found no evidence of contamination.
The advisory was issued because of an equipment malfunction that caused a loss of pressure in the city’s water system, raising concerns for bacterial contamination.
