Wichita police say they have found and recovered the pickup that was believed to have been used in a theft of a statue last week from McAdams Park.

The truck was captured on surveillance cameras in connection with the theft of the statue of baseball legend Jackie Robinson on January 25th.  Police said detectives from the Property Crimes Bureau worked with the Field Community Response Team to find the truck.    No other information was released on the truck, but the Police Department said detectives are continuing to follow promising leads in the case.

Police are still asking for help from the public in finding the people responsible for the theft.  Anyone with information can call investigators at 268-4407, Crime Stoppers at 267-2111 or the See Something Say Something hotline at 519-2282.
