The National Weather Service in Wichita is starting its annual storm spotter presentations across central and southeastern Kansas.
The schedule has been announced for the annual Storm Fury on the Plains presentation, with information on different types of storms, recognizing the features that help in determining the severity of a storm, and severe weather safety.
The presentations are free to the public and they’re open to all interested persons.
The schedule is starting a few weeks earlier this year, with the first presentation on Tuesday, February 6th in Salina at Kansas Wesleyan University.
A presentation will be held Thursday evening in Hutchinson, with other events scheduled for February 15th in Winfield, February 22nd in Newton, March 7th in Augusta, and March 20th in Wichita.
