Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Thursday afternoon in a south side neighborhood, and two suspects have been arrested.
Officers found a victim around 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of South George Washington Boulevard. 42-year-old Candace Amack of Wichita was found outside a home with several gunshot wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified a possible suspect vehicle and tracked it with the FLOCK license plate reading system to a home in the 1300 block of North Jackson. They took two men, ages 24 and 33 into custody on first degree murder charges.
