Mayor Greg Fischer, partnered with Metro Council President David Yates, Thorntons, and many more to kick off the event of the Louisville Orchestra Waterfront 3rd. LOWF3rd will feature a full Louisville Orchestra concert on the Great Lawn, the Fifth Third Family Fun Zone, and food and fireworks free to the public. The event will take place on Sunday July 3rd and open at 5pm with a variety of activities. Also, families are encouraged to bring one recyclable item from home that will be transformed into a musical instrument and later the children will be invited to join LO with their newly-made instruments, which will take place at 8:30pm, then fireworks display at 10.
