WSU Tech has reached 5,000 students for the first time in the school’s history.
School officials say it is the 6th consecutive semester the college has seen strong growth in enrollment. Overall student credit hours increased 2.6% over last spring. The number of students enrolled for the 2019 spring semester also increased by 11%.
WSU Tech credits the increased enrollment by expanding programs at the school, responding to the needs of business and industry in south-central Kansas. They also credit the expansion of scholarship opportunities for students wishing to enroll at WSU Tech.
The 2018 Almanac of Higher Education, The Chronicle of High Education ranked WSU tech as number 2 among its fastest gowing colleges.
