A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced a woman to six years in prison for her role in a torture and murder that happened in Valley Center in 2016.
29-year-old Alexandria Scott was sentenced to 72 months in prison for kidnapping and robbery charges. She was one of five people convicted in the November, 2016 torture and murder of 33-year-old Scottie Goodpaster at a home in Valley Center. Prosecutors said the killing was the result of a dispute over missing money from a meth deal.
Willie Morris, Jeff Hillard and Heidi Hillard were given life sentences for the crimes, which included a sexual assault on a woman at the home where Goodpaster was killed. Scott and another suspect, Brian Bussart, testified against the Hillards.
