23-year-old Marquez Hutton, of Wichita, was fatally shot Monday night.
A resident in the 1200 block of North Minnesota called 911 after hearing shots outside. When police arrived, they found a man outside of a home with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and is the fifth criminal homicide victim so far this year.
Wichita Police say the shooting was not random. The man had gone to the home to meet with someone or several people.
