Sedgwick County residents encouraged to renew tags by mail or online

Sedgwick County residents are encouraged to renew their tags either through mail or online due to the ongoing pandemic.

Governor Kelly’s executive order extending the deadline for tag renewals by 60 days is still in effect.  However, those that wish to renew their tags, could see long wait lines if they want to do so in person.

The county’s two tag offices are limiting the number of people allowed inside the building at one time to 10 people.  Around half of the staff that normally processes renewals has been furloughed and the QLess virtual waiting line system has been taken offline.

Renewals will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis.  However, those who need title work can still call ahead and schedule an appointment.

The county is encouraging residents to renew their tags by mail, or online by clicking here.  You can also use the iKan app, available for Android or Apple.
