3rd suspect arrested in fatal Wichita shooting

The third and final suspect in a fatal shooting in Wichita was arrested on Thursday evening.

Police took 28 year old Jesse Sweeney of Wichita into custody in connection with the April 23rd shooting.   30-year-old Blake Mayes was shot outside a home near 1st and Charles after a fight with three other people.

Mayes died later of his injuries at hospital later that evening.

The two other suspects in the murder–36 year old Bobbie Williams-Cox, and 51 year old William Moore–were taken into custody earlier in the week, and they have been charged in district court.
