The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is reporting new information in a 1986 murder case.
The body of an unidentified woman was found in Mulberry Creek near Interstate 70, and she became known as “Miss Molly.” Her body was exhumed in July, 2019 to collect DNA samples, and they were sent to the FBI for testing. The Sheriff’s Office was also in touch with INTERPOL about two missing women from Europe.
There was no initial match to any missing persons but the Sheriff’s Office now says it has some new information. A news conference is planned for Tuesday, August 11th.
