A Wichita man has been charged in connection with a September 22nd assault on a woman in a south side neighborhood.
34-year-old Darrius Johnson was charged with kidnapping and rape, and his next court appearance has been scheduled for October 22nd. He is being held on a bond of $350,000.
Police said a 48-year-old woman was walking near Lincoln and Oliver on the night of September 22nd when she was forced into a car, driven to another location and sexually assaulted. She was then driven back to Lincoln and Oliver and released.
Police arrested Johnson later in the week, and they said he had been out on bond for a separate sex crime at the time of his arrest.
