An accidental shooting in south Wichita sent boxer Nico Hernandez to the hospital.

This shooting happened on November 1, in the 1200 block of South Water. A statement from police says Hernandez handed a gun to someone to look at, then that person mistakenly fired it, hitting Hernandez in the leg. The acquaintance took Hernandez to a hospital for treatment.

So far, nobody appears to be facing charges in connection to this shooting.
