A former employee of the Wichita Public Schools has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

A first court appearance was held Monday for 48-year-old Shawn Wingfield.   He had worked at Northwest High School since 1997, but resigned last week citing his personal health and well being.   He was arrested by Wichita police on Saturday.

Bond was set at $50,000 and the next court appearance was scheduled for August 12th.
