A number of Kansas Law Enforcement Agencies are participating in the “Thanksgiving Safe Arrival” campaign.

The traffic enforcement campaign begins on Nov. 20th and runs through Nov. 29th. Although all traffic laws will be enforced, this extra provision will also aggressively enforce the state’s vehicle occupant protection laws.

The objective of “Thanksgiving Safe Arrival” is to target the unbelted and incorrectly restrained in addition to providing education that reminds residents that buckling up saves lives.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office and the Hutchinson Police Department are among the agencies involved in the campaign.
