A domestic violence report led to a standoff at a Goddard home, and a SWAT team was called to the scene Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the home in the 400 block of Craig Street around 11:30 on a report of a man assaulting a woman. The man locked himself inside the home and he was believed to be armed.
Goddard school officials were asked to keep buses and traffic away from the area, but no schools were locked down. Some homes in the neighborhood were evacuated and other residents were told to shelter in place.
The standoff ended late in the afternoon and the man was taken into custody.
