Wichita residents will see an increased police presence in the 8000 block of East Douglas Wednesday morning.
This is because member’s of the Wichita Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics team (SWAT) along with members of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team (EOD) will be conducting training exercises.
Training will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and should be wrapped up by 4:30 p.m.
WPD officials wanted the public to be aware ahead of time, and that there was no cause for alarm.
