A Sedgwick County judge has sentenced the last of four men involved in a fatal shooting in southeast Wichita.
In a hearing Wednesday, 22-year-old Pierce Jackson of Wichita was sentenced to 216 months in prison. He had pleaded guilty last July to aggravated robbery. Prosecutors said Jackson had a prior criminal history for aggravated robbery and robbery.
On August 19th, 2019, 33-year-old Jerome Armbeck was found by an officer in a field in the 4600 block of East Boston. Police found that his brother had asked him to help catch some people who robbed him of his backpack during a marijuana sale. Armbeck was shot several times after a foot chase that began near Harry and Oliver.
19-year-old Orlando Howard pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to almost 14 years in prison. 23-year-old Marcus Lamar pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and he was sentenced to 60 months in prison. 21-year-old Tairyce Jones pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and was also sentenced to 60 months.
